AJ

Who am I?

I am a neighbor, a loving brother, a dedicated uncle, and a resident deeply rooted in the future of Dougherty. My life has been defined by service to others, from earning the rank of Eagle Scout to serving as the President of the Central Georgia Model Investment Club through Better Investing, and as a Board Trustee for Cray Chapel CME.

Why run?

I’m running because I have a deep passion for helping people improve their situations. I know first hand that there is a different, better path that the citizens of this county can take and I want to be a guide for the people of District 4.I am committed to restoring public trust in local government by being visible and present for the community, cutting through noise and distractions, and maintaining a relentless focus on improving the lives of my fellow neighbors in District 4.

Platform

I firmly believe that an investment in the people of Dougherty will ensure our long-term success. My aim is to work with the commission to prioritize economic development that brings good corporate citizens willing to bring well paying jobs while also taking a stake in our neighborhoods.District 4 sits primarily within Albany's city limits. Intergovernmental collaboration to deliver for the citizens of the district will require a strong partnership with the City. I will work diligently with both commissions to ensure clear lines of communication. By building consensus, we can streamline areas like code enforcement and blighted properties. The era of the invisible commissioner ends in November. The residents of District 4 deserve leadership that is responsive and visible. You cannot represent the people if you never speak to the people. You deserve a reachable guide into the machinery of our county government. I will host town halls and walk your neighborhoods to hear your thoughts, concerns and problems.I am Anthony "AJ" Patterson, and I am asking for your vote!
